We are still planning for the CLEO PR 2020 Conference to be one of the major conferences this year in our field. Australia is very much open for business and we are all committed to running a successful event.
Of course, we recognize that there is an unusual level of uncertainty at this time and we will review the situation as it unfolds. To assist in your planning the committee want to provide you with easy access to as much information as possible.
We would like to remind those who are planning on presenting a paper that, although the deadline for abstracts closes at 11:59 pm on 20 March (Melbourne time), authors do not need to register until 29 May.
All attendees should be aware that early bird registration is open until 29 May. You should make yourself aware of our cancellation policy if you are at all concerned about making travel commitments and whilst there is some uncertainty about how the response to COVID-19 will evolve.
We are keeping a close eye on the situation as it develops internationally and are planning accordingly. We will update the website regularly in the weeks and months ahead.
Australia has an excellent preventative health system, and travel and health requirements listed by the Australian Department of Health are shown here.
Whilst it is has been a challenging start to the year for many people and on many fronts, we are looking forward to welcoming you to Sydney in August for the 14th Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO Pacific Rim, CLEO-PR 2020).
